Junk Sale Season

I'm not normally a Yard Sale girl. I have hang ups about it I guess. I rather like the anonymity of thrift stores and the fact everything is in one place, no haggling, yadda yadda. Well I think I may be changing mind mind set.

The area of town called "Old Farm" is having their community yard sale this weekend complete with hot air balloon rides starting Saturday. It's an lovely older established area. I ran over there this morning to see if anything struck my fancy, and boy oh boy did my fancy get struck!

I found this vintage red ladder for my porch. 4.00.

This vintage Tulip quilt 10.00.

and this crock for 3.00.

This was only one sale. I also found a pair of vintage glass lamps with shades of 4.00 and all kinds of other goodies that I will have to post later. Guess where I will be going first thing tomorrow morning.

I need to yardsale more. That is my goal this summer, I just can't seem to get that excited about it. I think if I went and found a good find that would do the trick. LOL!

Very lucky Aimee. Way to go so early in the season. That should be motivating to keep it up this whole summer.

I just love to yardsale too. Now you have me motivated.

Love your home.

That ladder! I think I would have fought you for it had I been there. :) LOL It's just awesome. I love yard sales! Especially when you start doing that and then compare prices to the thrifts...that helps me get over my "issues" real fast! LOL There are tons of subdivision sales around here this weekend. Can't wait to see what other treasures you found!

Oh, see...now you got the bug! Now you know why I get up at the crack of dawn on Sat. (and sometimes Fridays) to get out to those yardsales. You just never know what you will find & that's 1/2 the fun of it. Great finds! Careful, this is how addictions start....ask me, I know!

I really haven't had the chance to go out yard sailing yet. Your ladder is cute. I found one in Canton but I had to paint mine and it was half the size of yours. I still have to find a place for it.
