I was excited to find this brown trunk at the Goodwill this week. It has lots of cool stickers from different hotels and great red monogram letters on both ends. Still trying to work out what I want on top and on the wall above them. The mirror isn't doing it for me. I added a apothecary jar full of shells and other natural materials some books, pictures of the boys and a chippy lamp.

Changing the accessories in the dinning room for a lighter summer look. My weekend painting plans where put on the back burner because the pond took the whole weekend to fix. Maybe this weekend I'll get it done. I found the great Toile lamp shades at Tuesday Morning for a song. I also bought burlap for the window treatments. Yes burlap! It is going to look neat I promise. I'm going to add some fringe from my stash so the burlap looks fancy. hehe.

Wishing you all a safe and fun holiday weekend!

Hi Aimee! Everything looks great. That trunk is very cool! I also like that apothecary jar you have because it's wider than most that I've seen. I can't wait to see how the burlap turns out. I saw some in Joanne's a couple weeks ago and it was very reasonably priced. I was thinking I'd like to use it for something but I just wasn't quite sure what. have a great holiday weekend!

Dear Aimee, thanks so much for your visits and lovely comments! I'm glad to meet you, not only because I do like to meet the world, but also because I discover here many nice things and a person who seems to love thriftshop- and secondhandshop-finds as well :D
That trunk you've found is great; I'm also still looking for a same old one. I'll read your blog from the beginning to know a bit more about you and your history...
Love and warm greetings from Belgium, Marjolijn

Some very nice changes, Aimee. Love those toile lampshades. I'm in the market to change out some lampshades in my DR, so I'll have to check out Tues. AM, one of my favorite places too.

Happy week!
Rhoda
